“We really enjoyed the show and the hour’s respite of not thinking about the fire and our own circumstances at all. Great work - really impressive! Neither of us could believe this was Douglas’s debut production!”

I particularly loved the soundtrack, it really elevated the experience and put my body into a state of reaction, controlling my heartbeat and changing my mood and mindset going into each scene.”

"Shannon Wong was the perfect star of the show. her first debut as an actress and singer, it was a role perfectly written for her. You hear the melodies created by her and Clarke and know it was a play made with love. Talent all around, and I’m so happy to witness the beginning of what I pray will be many more collaborations."

Soulmate really touched me. Out of all the plays I’ve seen this has been the best so far. I found myself fighting back tears from having so much in common with the story and characters. It evoked emotion in me that I’ve been pushing down inside of me for years. I felt the universe brought me to this play to face the many emotions we all experience with love and loss. It was truly entertaining, an emotional roller coaster, and ultimately healing. It helped me to remember that we’re not alone. And to feel the common experience as humans in a beautifully artistic way.”

I enjoyed the performance of each character/thespian. Each person was so lively. Seems like I ran into each one on my train ride here.

An amazing show! I really enjoyed how the show expresses the deeper and subtle complexities of the self-identity behind the story, which consists of the multicultural and multi-background of each character, and from the playwright's experiences. Watching the show, I found myself easily relating to the iconic New York construction scenes and side stories and could relate particularly to Shannon's self-expression and discovery of her identity through the amazing performance. It reminded me of my struggles as a Chinese American in the dilemma of finding the balance between cultural traditions, family expectations, and my true self. The show provides some kind of power, empowerment, and encouragement that I believe will support me and my own discovery and non-conformity journey. Thanks for the amazing play!

Such a great show with so many insightful themes. It opened up really good conversations and made me think further about things in relationships like the complexity of masculine vs feminine.

Thank you for bringing such a vulnerable subject to the stage. Grief is a tricky path to travel and it's nice to see that it isn't a unique journey and we can make it through.
