MEET THE WRITER AND DIRECTOR

Douglas Clarke is the writer, director, and music composer behind Soulmate, making his Off-Broadway debut after its sold-out premiere at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre in Los Angeles. A lifelong tech innovator, Clarke recently found a second home in theater as a leading actor. Soulmate is his first foray into writing and directing. DouglasClarke, a San Francisco Bay Area native based in Los Angeles, is a boundary-pushing innovator with over 25 years of experience in both tech and entertainment. As Founder of Razorwire Productions, he has led countless creative projects in multiple forms of media, including his debut play Soulmate, which premiered in January 2025 at Zombie Joe's Underground Theater in North Hollywood. MEET THE CAST

Shannon Wong

Shannon Wong stars as the lead in Soulmate, making her Off-Broadway debut in this powerful production. She is a first-generation American, born in Hawaii to Chinese immigrant parents and the eldest of four sisters. Growing up in Kailua-Kona, she developed a passion for performance, but limited opportunities led her to explore modeling and photography. Her journey took off on social media, eventually becoming an official SuicideGirl in 2019.

After moving to Portland, Shannon supported her education through work in gentlemen’s clubs, where she developed a love for burlesque and pole dancing, while advocating for marginalized groups. She earned a Communications degree from Portland State University in 2016 and later moved to Los Angeles, shifting her focus to broader performance opportunities. Shannon now collaborates with Elena Krail on educational events about open relationships, tantra, and intimacy, and remains involved in the kink community, advocating for ethical non-monogamy.

She aspires to work in female-owned spaces, expand her career in film and TV, and continue performing on stage. Notable achievements include being featured in Boudoir Magazine (2024) and starring in the premiere run of Soulmate at Zombie Joe's Underground in Los Angeles, a play written byDouglasClarke that celebrates alternative lifestyles and provides a safe space for those who feel out of place. Follow Shannon's journey on social media and at her events. (IG: @littlewonton)

Showcasing his vocal talents at the famed NY club “Don’t Tell Mama’ opened up another new door for Zach and his talents. He also makes a mean Espresso! Zach is thrilled to be making his NYC stage debut in Soulmate and is represented by Wayne Gasser/The Gasser Group.

Jacksyn Ivy Jayne

She started auditioning in LA when she was 11 years old after studying at Gary Spatz’s “The Playground - A Young Actor’s Conservatory” and graduated from their advanced acting program. Changing her focus from film acting to theater, she auditioned and was accepted to the Los Angeles County High School (LACHSA) for the Arts in the Theater Program and later the Musical Theater program as well. She is the playwright of “Mattress” and “Another Nail in the Coffin” which was performed with Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group in LA, of which she performed in a few of their productions also. Jacksyn is very drawn to the macabre and the experimental in her work, and loves taking on worlds that are complicated, scary and whimsical. She currently studies at NYU Tisch Drama’s Experimental Theater Wing, training and performing in shows there.

Jaque Jeanne

Jaque Jeanne is a multi-hyphenate entertainer, educator, and collaborator, joining the cast of Soulmate as "Dakota". Originally from Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i, Jaque studied Musical Theatre and Early Childhood Education at multiple institutions in NYC. While residing between Hawai’i and NYC, she developed a mission to provide inspirational, sustainable, and unique theatrical resources to Hawai’i residents of all backgrounds and abilities. With this mission, she created educational opportunities for ages 4-80 across the island, and fell in love with collaborating in progressive theater production and education. Since her recent return to NYC, Jaque has been dancing and belting her way across the city, continuing to create new opportunities for local arts programs. She is also a pole/aerialist dancer and burlesque performer, where she loves being “extra” with a dash of “awkward”. Her resume credits contain stage, screen, and behind-the-scenes roles from both Hawai’i Island and NYC. She is beyond grateful for this opportunity to be a part of this special production with this amazing team, and especially getting to work alongside her dear hometown friend, Shannon Wong.

Sunn'e Ratcliff

Sunn’e Ratcliff is bringing the heat (and the laughs) as "Tiara"— the quick-witted, unfiltered Gen Z queen of Soulmate. She’s been lighting up stages since age nine, with credits in The Color Purple and a Michael Jackson tribute that had the crowd moonwalking. She’s also been busy behind the scenes, filming upcoming roles as Kara in Hidden Truth and Auntie Briana in One Dance One Sound—so keep your eyes peeled.

A lifelong performer, Sunn’e kept the momentum going through college, studying at Indiana State University before chasing her big city dreams at the New York Film Academy. She’s trained with acting pros like Casey Lee at The Actors Study and Dominique Becton at DBFAA (Dominique Becton Film and Acting Academy), soaking up all the craft and confidence. Living out little Sunn’e’s dream of taking on New York and hitting the off-Broadway stage? Yeah, this is the moment. She’s here, she’s locked in, and she’s leading with gratitude and grit.
