She is a first-generation American, born in Hawaii to Chinese immigrant parents and the eldest of four sisters. Growing up in Kailua-Kona, she developed a passion for performance, but limited opportunities led her to explore modeling and photography. After moving to Portland, Shannon supported her education through work in gentlemen’s clubs, where she developed a love for burlesque and pole dancing, while advocating for marginalized groups. She earned a Communications degree from Portland State University in 2016 and later moved to Los Angeles, shifting her focus to broader performance opportunities. She aspires to work in female-owned spaces, expand her career in film and TV, and continue performing on stage. Notable achievements include being featured in Boudoir Magazine (2024) and starring in the premiere run of Soulmate at Zombie Joe's Underground in Los Angeles, a play written byDouglasClarke that celebrates alternative lifestyles and provides a safe space for those who feel out of place.
